CERFO supports youth, women, and community by providing opportunities in affordable computer and technology skill training, educational program, healthier lifestyle options, and resources to increase entrepreneurship skills.

Our Impact

Since 2017, we have assisted over 3000 members. We maintain partnerships with more than 9 local Primary and 4 Secondary schools including Universities. Our international platform enables young people to discover and develop networking opportunities.

Our Vision

CERFO provides our members with an integrated development experience. Our global learning environment comprises training in leadership skills, international internships, and participation in the growing technology field and entrepreneurship.

About

Community Education Resources Foundation (CERFO) is a registered non-profit organization established since 2017. CERFO provides underserved youth and women in Tanzania ages 5-25 yrs with opportunities to improve in various educational skills, obtain computer technology and entrepreneurial training while learning healthier lifestyle choices. In December 2022 we were excited to receive a recommendation letter from our government agency for our program services. Each year the demand for CERFO youth services increases. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints at times we must prepare a waiting list which adversely affects our youth, families, and community.

CERFO works to improve and raise the social-economic standards of the community by promoting projects to empower youth and women while supporting other vulnerable members in the community. We also provide FREE LIBRARY services for the community. Over the years, CERFO continues to strengthen community relations by conducting outreach services deep in the bush areas to ensure that economic prosperity opportunities is available to all in the community.

We are all in a unique position to help bright and eager Tanzanian youth acquire new life changing skills in technology and entrepreneurship! Therefore, updating the programs offered will further increase skills and economical financial opportunities for students as they complete CERFO training programs. This can help change family lives today and for generations to come! Many students who complete our programs return as supporters and some become mentors to the newer students. Your donations and sponsorships will go directly toward improving, expanding and developing our programs, facility, and operations.

Afri Kids Study Tour Project provides a powerful impact on our most vulnerable youth. Leadership and Mentorship skills are key factors in this program.

Free Library

Books Books Books! Open six days each week. Students and Community Residents are welcomed to Akeri Library. Although, we have various reading material to assist our members, our library is in critical need of a variety of learning books for students age 5-25yrs old. Why did I choose to seek help at CERFO? I went to CERFO because it is the only organization offering computer and leadership training services in our community. Also, many of my friends recommend CERFO.

How has my life changed after completing skill training at CERFO? I feel more confident when I interview for jobs. My parents notice the change too. I was among 2 chosen to receive additional office equipment training and experience working with the general public. The services CERFO provide helps so many who need professional skill training. Does CERFO provide a school?

CERFO is Community Education Resources Foundation. Since 2017, CERFO provides the community in Arusha, Tanzania with educational and technology computer application training, leadership skills, and entrepreneurship programs to better empower the youth and women in the community. In 2023, CERFO Pre-Primary School begins development.

Is CERFO a NGO or Nonprofit Organization?

Yes! CERFO is a registered NGO in Arusha Tanzania. In 2022, CERFO received an official letter from the Meru District Council in Arusha which highly recommended CERFO program services in Education, Health, and Personal Development to the community.

Does CERFO impact the community?

CERFO over the past several years serves more than 3000 students. Today, this number increases substantially due to the global economic health crisis. The high demand for CERFO services is evident from our outreach in the community.
